Join the Ocean Institute for a family-friendly day of Halloween fun. Guests can participate in a Trick-or-Treat scavenger hunt through the Ocean Institute, listen to a scary story from a pirate ghost and make a creepy critter craft. Throughout the day, guests can also participate in our spooky science labs:
- Tidepool Terrors – Find out what tidepool creatures have the best costumes and camoflage.
- Monsters of the Deep – Discover the unusual adaptations of the vampire squid and other deep-sea creatures.
- Ghastly Goo Science Lab – Make some ghastly goo to take home along with tips to keep our oceans clean.
- Cow Eye Dissection – Examine the unique structures and features of a mammal’s eye.
At 12:30pm there will also be a kids’ costume contest and prizes for the most scary, best ocean-themed and most eco-friendly costumes.

Fees : $6.50 per adult; $4.50 per child; Members and kids (4-12) in costume are free!
